How to hide secret photo album on iPhone?
We all want to protect our privacy, and iOS offers a variety of options to do so. We’ve previously covered how to hide photos from the Photos app, but frankly, that’s not enough to hide photos.
That’s because the photos you keep sit in a special hidden photo album in iOS. To access the hidden photo album, all one has to do is go to the Photos app and scroll down. All photos you marked as private are located there.
However, there is a way to hide the hidden photo album from the Photos app. This allows you to hide your photos from the Photos app and the whole process makes more sense this way. We have designed a series of step-by-step guides that show you how to hide private photos on iPhone. You need to download any third-party app to hide your photos. Here’s what you need to do.
- You can hide the “Hidden” album containing hidden photos in the Photos application.
- To hide hidden photos, you must go to the relevant menu from the “Settings” application.
- Enter the Settings app on iPhone.
- Scroll the screen to find the “Photos” menu.
- Enter the “Photos” menu.
- Turn off the switch in front of “Show Hidden Album”.
- The album named “Hidden” in “Photos” will not be shown until you turn the switch back on.
That’s all you need to do to hide private photos on iPhone. However, if you want to allow the album to appear in the Photos app, repeat the process and re-enable the option shown above from the relevant menu in the Settings app.
Note that hidden photos will disappear from the Photos app, but they will appear in the third-party apps’ photo picker. Also, keep in mind that when you connect iPhone to PC, hidden photos will be visible in folders. However, it will still become difficult for snoopers to examine your private photos.
