The Invincible review
The Invincible is a play adapted from the novel of the same name written by Stanislaw Lem in 1964. If you like science fiction and are looking for a calmer game these days, this section is for you.
A series of events begin to occur on the planet Regis III, where the game takes place, and you will realize that everything is not as simple as it seems. You will have to uncover a mystery and make various decisions. The decisions you make in the game can change the ending of the game.
The Invincible is a game with an interesting idea and a very good story behind it. If you are a lover of walking simulators and science fiction, you can try it because you are likely to enjoy it. Just remember to make the right decisions in the game, because everything can end really badly for you.
We don’t want to give too much information about The Invincible story, to avoid spoilers. For this reason, we keep the general information short and move on to the gameplay and technical review.
The Invincible gameplay
The most important part for this type of game is the gameplay. It’s important to remember that this is a simple narrative adventure. So playing the game should also be simple. We start the game on a planet that we know nothing about, and in general we will be in a walking simulator.
The mechanics of the game gradually present a situation that answers your questions. The main movement is simple, use the joystick to move and a button to run, that will be all you need for now. Then, as you progress and do some research, you will be able to unlock certain vehicles for your adventure. Scanners, telescopes to see areas of interest, and more that we invite you to discover for yourself.
Once you get used to the game you will understand the importance of exploration so you can continue to unlock some vehicles. One thing that is intriguing is the use of the diary to guide you between different points of interest, something that is well implemented and has some details that make this move easier in a way.
The main story of The Invincible can be finished in approximately 6-8 hours. I completed the game in about 7 hours. This is a game that won’t take too many hours out of you, and if you like that style of gameplay, you might like it.
The Invincible graphics and sound
The game has a beautiful scenario and a graphic visuality that matches it. The loading time of the textures is quite good. You will be amazed by the drawing distance and views you will see while enjoying the planet. In general, we are faced with great visual beauty, but of course, as in every game, you will also see some elements that need improvement. Maybe the character models could have been a little better.
As for the sound department, I must say that the music and atmosphere were really successful. At this stage, 9 languages are supported in the game and the voice acting is in English. There is no Turkish language support in the game yet.
