Blue flag beaches in Kocaeli

BLUE FLAG BEACHES IN KOCAELI

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality’s teams working to preserve the blue flag feature of the beaches want to offer good holiday conditions to the people of the city and the tourists. The teams working for the cleaning and landscaping of the beaches also treat the wastewater with Advanced Biological Treatment plants. In the province of Kocaeli, which is very rich in terms of beaches, a total of 7 beaches were given blue flag status from 2012 to 2021.

Karamursel Altinkemer Beach

Karamursel Altinkemer Beach received a blue flag in 2012. It is on the shores of the Marmara Sea. After passing the Osmangazi Bridge, you can go to Karamursel by crossing Altinova on Admiral Caddesi. You should target the 4 Temmuz Mahallesi Plaj Yolu Caddesi.

Kandira Cebeci Public Beach

The blue flag came to Kandira Cebeci Public Beach in 2013. It is on the Black Sea coast. You can go through Izmit by using the Izmit – Kandira road. After arriving in Kandira, take the Kandira – Kefken road. Pass Kefken and go to Cebeci.

Kerpe Beach

The blue flag came to Kerpe Beach in 2016. It is on the Black Sea coast. You can go through Izmit by using the Izmit – Kandira road. After arriving in Kandira, take the Kandira – Kefken road. Do not enter Kefken, you will see the Kumcagiz – Kerpe sign. Get off the highway and go that way. Exactly in an area called Kurtyeri. Then you can go to Kerpe despite the charm of Kumcagiz.

Bagirganli Public Beach

Bagirganli Public Beach received a blue flag in 2017. It is on the Black Sea coast. It is a Kandira beach close to Sile Agva. You can pass through Agva.

Kumcagiz Public Beach

The blue flag came to Kumcagiz Public Beach in 2018. It is on the Black Sea coast. You can go through Izmit by using the Izmit – Kandira road. After arriving in Kandira, take the Kandira – Kefken road. Do not enter Kefken, you will see the Kumcagiz – Kerpe sign. Get off the highway and go that way. Exactly in an area called Kurtyeri.

Kandira Mico Bay Women’s Beach

The blue flag came to Kandira Mico Bay Women’s Beach in 2019. It is on the opposite side of Kerpe Beach, but it is a marvel to see.

Kandira Kovanagzi Beach

The blue flag came to Kandira Kovanagzi Beach in 2021. It is a beach located on the Kefken coast. It is very nice, you should definitely go and experience it on a weekend.
